This is a good, cheap, supplement for the athlete or gym rat. Your everyday protein is filled with various amino acids, they are what make proteins the building blocks for muscle. BCAAs help to cover all of the key aminos to ensure you are getting all you need. I can't say for a fact but I can guess that this helps tremendously when taking the cheaper proteins, like Body Fortress. Compared to Nitro-Tech, the former may lack key aminos. This stuff doesn't replace your protein powder, but it enhances it. Keeping up on BCAAs with strengthen you immune system to prevent taxation when working out. This effect also leads to healthier, faster recovery. I would classify this as an intermediate to advanced supplement.
I used to take BCAAs in a pure form dry, off of a spoon. BCAAs have the worst texture, with this stuff you can't tell. Stirring is not the way to go, though; shake it. I add three scoops to a gallon of water and sip on it all day at work, it tastes like watered down blue powerade.
