This is my regular cooktop cleaner and I'm very satisfied with the results, but it's not the only thing I use and here's why. I was naive to think I could just wipe the smooth cooktop clean when I first got it and quickly learned even water leaves a mark that's hard to remove without some special help. Being an experimenter, I tried several things I already had with only limited success. The cleaner that came with the cooktop does a pretty good job but it required a lot of buffing, plus storage of the little cleaning pad was a challenge. Either I lost it or couldn't get it clean enough to reuse. I went through too many of them too quickly.
I'd seen this advertised so decided to try it. First of all, I clean the cooktop before it gets really bad, but if you have one of these cooking surfaces, you know it can get crusty places quickly. For my first pass when cleaning, I use a little holder with a plastic razor blade to remove anything with any thickness. After doing that I use this product scrubbing extra stubborn places with an edge if warranted. Then I wipe the surface clean with a paper towel or two, which takes a few passes to remove streaks. I get an almost showroom perfect clean. Nothing I've tried does a perfect job, but this is as close as any plus it's easy to use.
I store it in a sandwich sized plastic bag with the pad attached. The pad stays moist and reusable until dirty enough to throw out. This makes product use quite economical. I like the size of the holder and the handgrip which is nicer to hold than just a loose pad (lots easier on my manicure too).
Overall, I find this product superior to the cream products which I find messy to use plus they seem to need more buffing to remove. This still requires some buffing, but not as much. As a new smooth cooktop user, I'm eager to keep it looking pretty, but not willing to spend all day doing it. This seems to provide the ease and speed I require and as good a result--or better--than any I've tried.
