Customer Review: Doesn't work any better then a wet rag - REALLY

Having a new stove, and wanting to keep it that way I bought this product AND Weiman cook top cleaner and a non scratch scour pad (the Weiman is just a cream and you need a non-scratch pad with it). So first I used the the scotch-brite with the handle and pad. I figured the pad would be kind of like a non-scratch scubby, NOPE - it is just a damp cloth like pad with their cleaner in it?!? Ok, so I get to scrubbing with it, and scrub and scrub and scrub. I wipe off with a paper towel and lots of cooked on spots left. I scrub some more. And more. I give up. I then used the Weiman cream and scrubby on one small spot, in a few seconds it is clean. Scotch Brite should be ashamed of selling something that creates so much waste AND doesn't even work and cost so much per use. With a refill pack it is still like fifty cents each cleaning AND it doesn't work. Avoid this product. Oh, and it says they guarantee satisfaction just go to their website. On the package of the Scotch-Brite Cook Top Cleaner kit, its first claim is "cuts through grease." My cook top did not have the crusty soiled spots that most people are concerned with. When I first used these, my cook top was clean EXCEPT for some grease splatters from my griddle that I use on top of my cook top (specifically from cooking sausage). Cleaning up the grease quickly and easily was my primary concern and why I purchased these. No such luck -- the pads simply smear the grease all around, making a whitish goo, that then has to be cleaned up with another cleaner. To me, these were a total waste of money (and time).Customer Review: A waste. Does NOT clean adequately

This product did not do any better of a job than I can by hand with a dish rag. It did leave an ok shine on the surfaces it did get clean after you wipe it with a paper towel. The problem was, it did not have the ability to get most of the soiled areas really clean. I am simply not impressed by looking at the pad after using it and saying "wow, that looks like a lot of dirt". This is simply more marketing to sell an "easy" solution in our disposable society.
