Customer Review: Best smoothie out there

I've been a smoothie junkie for years, long before I went vegan. I've tried dozens of smoothie/protein powders, mostly soy or whey based. Vega is by far the best I've ever had - both in terms of flavor, and in terms of nutrition. I just finished a canister of Vanilla Chai and replaced it with this Chocolate flavor. Delish! Not to knock Vanilla Chai - it's wonderful - I just like to mix things up :) The chocolate flavor is rich without tasting too sweet. It's got body to it, though - some less-sweet chocolate flavored smoothies taste like watery chocolate. That's not the case here. I love that it's a completely whole food, plant based product. I love that it is formulated as both a meal replacement and a nutritional supplement. I started running a year ago, and about 6 months ago switched from a soy-based protein powder to Vega. I drink a Vega smoothie as my post-run recovery meal. I've noticed significant improvement in my overall recovery. My usual mix is 8 oz of non-dairy milk (I'm on an almond milk kick right now), 1 scoop of Vega, half a frozen banana, and a handful of [insert frozen fruit here - strawberries, pineapple, mixed berries, blueberries, cherries, etc]. Whir it up in the blender, and yum!
If you're looking at other Vega products, I've also used the Smoothie Infusion. I prefer this product - the whole food health optimizer. The smoothie infusion has no flavor, and since I use unsweetened/unflavored liquids as my smoothie base, my mixes with the smoothie infusion product taste flat. I prefer the flavor (and nutritional profile) of the Whole Food Health Optimizer. I'm also a big fan of Brendan Brazier, creator of Vega, after reading his book, Thrive. Also highly recommended! His energy bar recipes have saved me a chunk of change vs. commercially packaged energy bars.
