Customer Reviews of Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Diapers, Stage 3 (16-28 Lbs), 40-Count Packages (Pack of 4) (160 Diapers)Customer Review: Thrilled with new design. Summary: 4 StarsThese new diapers are much more like Pampers and Huggies in design. Now they are flexible and are in smaller sizes, so the fit is fabulous. Thrilled with new design. -- would give 5 stars, but they still use the gel beads.
Customer Review: I love that they are now slimmer and have stretchy elastic tabs but they do not have the same absorbancy. Summary: 4 StarsMy son is now 16 month old and I have been using 7th generation diapers since he was one month old. I absolutely love them! My son has never had a diaper rash... ever! He also has an intact penis and has never had any infections of any sort. I also used the seventh generation wipes, as well as california baby diaper area wash (leaves baby so fresh and clean, i swear by it). My only concern is that 7th generation recently "improved" their diapers. I love that they are now slimmer and have stretchy elastic tabs but they do not have the same absorbancy. I never had a problem with leaks before. So rare that I never carried a back up pair of clothes. But now I have had a wake up call. Since we started using the "improved" diapers he leaks when he sleeps through the night and I am thinking about using something different at night. I am trying now to find a store that still has some of the old design so I can use them at night. I really dont want to change but I will if I have to. I have written to the company but have not received a response. I would give the old design 5 stars but the new ones are lacking.
Customer Review: But this "improved fit" version is such a disappointment. Summary: 3 StarsI must say initially seventh generation dipers have been the best dipers I ever used, although it's a little bulky than most of the commercial brands, it's still a good and CORRECT fit. By saying that I mean if it says to fit 12 to 18lbs, it really is. Plus It holds more, absorbs quick, never leaks and the inner layer stays dry so your baby still feels comfortable even after 6 or 7 hours, which I found extremely helpful when your baby could sleep overnight. Adding the fact it's environment friendly, I gave it 5 stars.
But this "improved fit" version is such a disappointment. When I ordered this large case, I was not aware of the change. It's thinner and much smaller, the stage 3 of this version which claims to fit from 16lbs to 28lbs is even smaller than the medium size of the old version which fits 12 to 18lbs. No need to mention how small stage 2 is for my 14lbs boy, surely he's not a big baby for a 3-month old. The inner layer wets easily and I have to change it more often to avoid leak. I still give it a 3 stars considering it's environment friendly, but will defenitely recommend the old version over this.
Customer Review: The new design of these diapers has probably only improved the product's profit margin... Summary: 3 StarsThe new design of these diapers has probably only improved the product's profit margin, not my baby's gluteal comfort and hygeine. We agree with the other reviews listed here: we miss the old style.
The new style is thinner, has leaked (the old ones never did for us), and now they leave little gel beads on the baby (like other, cheaper varieties) where the old style never did. Odor is also much more apparent when the baby is wet - the old style was much better at keeping smells in.
We were happy to pay the premium on the five-star-worthy older style, but we've been much less loyal now that they're so similar to other mainstream brands we can get at the local megamart.
Customer Review: It's such a shame. Summary: 3 StarsMy son is 2 years old, and we have used 7th generation dipers since his birth. We absolutely loved the old German style and wish it was still available on the market, even for a higher price. We agree with the other reviews listed here that Americans absolutely ruined product quality. It's such a shame. Not only the "improved" style is worse because it's like mainstream brands, it is very uncomfortable for the baby. My son complains that the dipers are hurting him, and now he has redness and scratches around his legs.
We are thinking we will stop using dipers overall for our older child because we started potty training, but we also have a one month old. So far we bought extra dipers with old design while they were available, but not sure what we will do after we run out.

All-Natural Natural Comfort for Your Child Seventh Generation Chlorine-Free Diapers are made with your baby and your environment in mind. The chlorine-free materials and absorbent polymers used in the diapers help keep your baby dry in between changes and through the night. In addition to being effective at keeping baby dry and reducing the risk of diaper rash, studies show that the absorbent polymer used in the diapers is non-toxic and non-irritating to baby's sensitive skin. Hypo-allergenic and offering soft, cloth-like comfort and premium absorbency, these diapers are made of chlorine-free absorbent materials that do not contribute to dioxin pollution. They feature super-stretchy resealable closure tabs and super-stretchy leg gathers that work to provide your baby with a comfortable, safe, close-fitting thin diaper. Why Does Chlorine-Free Matter? Your choice of our chlorine free diapers could help reduce cancer rates. Your choice of chlorine-free diapers helps reduce the amount of dioxin polluting our air, water and soil, and helps make the world a safer, healthier place for your family and generations to come. When chlorine and chlorine derivatives are used in industrial processes (such as bleaching paper and wood pulp), they produce substances called chlorinated hydrocarbons, which persist in the environment, accumulate in animals and people, and can be toxic to human and environmental health. The production of chlorine can also release the toxic metal mercury into the environment. If every household in the U.S. replaced just one 40-count package of conventional diapers with these chlorine-free diapers, we could avoid 133,000 pounds of pollution from entering the environment. About Seventh Generation Seventh Generation offers a complete line of natural household products designed to work as well as their traditional counterparts, but use renewable, non-toxic, and phosphate-free ingredients as often as possible, and are never tested on animals. Seventh Generation products are healthy and safe for the air, the surfaces, the pets, and the people in your home--and for the environment outside of it. Every time you use Seventh Generation products you make a difference by saving natural resources, keeping toxic chemicals out of the environment, and making the world a safer place for this and the next seven generations.
