Customer Reviews of Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Diapers, Stage 5 27+ lbs. 104 per case 1 caseCustomer Review: No More Diaper Rashes! Summary: 5 Stars
Our little one has been fighting diaper rashes for a while now. It seemed that if I didn't change her diaper immediately after she peed then she would have a rash. It was the worst after her naps. After one recently that was bright red and blistery and took a few days to heal I decided enough was enough. I tried the brands I could get at WalMart and Target and none of them helped. A friend of mine suggested going with chemical free diapers, giving me the Name Seventh Generation. Since I ordered a pack of diapers about a month ago I have yet to see even one diaper rash. It's a huge relief. I'm not running to check her diaper every ten minutes, and we can go out to the park to play with only a few of them instead of a whole pack! They have done wonders for my baby's bottom and make me feel happy too about using a more eco-friendly product.
The only down side I have found is that you have to go up in sizes a little quicker. My daughter is 25 pounds, so she is just under the border between size 4 and 5, however with these diapers she needs to wear a size five. Not a big deal, just be prepared to switch upwards a pound or two early.
Customer Review: Be Careful about sizing Summary: 5 Stars
We just switched to the "over 27 Lbs.", Stage 5 Seventh Generation. Our daughter is just a little over 2 years old and weighs 29 pounds. The Stage 4 diapers were getting a little snug around the legs, so we decided to go up to Stage 5. Unfortunately, we are definitely in an "in-between" size right now. The Stage 4 are a bit too small and the Stage 5 are WAY too big. The tabs adjust infinitely so keeping them up is not a problem. We can't do anything about the leg holes, though. They are too loose and the diaper hangs down so low between her legs that we often have leaks. We're going to start potty-training "for real" in a month or so when the weather's warm enough to go "pants free", so I'm going to buy a case of the smaller Stage 4s and hope that we won't be needing the Stage 5 diapers at all!
Oh! Also- because they are bigger, there are fewer in the package. I didn't think I'd notice, but we went through this case VERY quickly.
Customer Review: Great natural diapers Summary: 5 Stars
The very fact that these diapers are a more natural color rather than white immediately tells you they're not your average disposable. The gathering at the back end of these has stopped my baby from blowing up the back of the diaper and out onto her clothes with poop. This is certainly worth a few more bucks, but with the subscription savings on these diapers they are more affordable. We go through about a shipment of these every month, so $28 a month isn't bad. On top of the containment issue, there is something that I'm not fond of about these, and that is the little pieces of absorption material that stick to baby when wet. I have found this to be a problem with EVERY disposable diaper though.
One other thing, these are rated for babies over 27 pounds. My baby is only 24 pounds and they work fine. They're probably a little loose around the leg openings, but still work great.
Customer Review: Wonderful diaper! Summary: 5 Stars
Although this diaper is not very eco-friendly, I still love it! My daughter is only 22 pounds at 18 mo, and she has been wearing size 5 for a while now. Because she is long and lean, we have always sized up. We have only had one leak while out-and-about and only a few leaks at night (just be sure to make the diaper tight enough around the waist if your little one sleeps on her tummy with her legs curled up under her and her rear in the air - don't want to leave a gap for anything to escape). I like the fact that these diapers don't have chlorine in them - I firmly believe that is one of the reasons we don't have diaper rash issues. I have even used the potty trainers on my daughter (sie 2T) and even they fit pretty well on her little frame. My daughter isn't ready for these trainers yet, but I'll be using them in the future as well.
Customer Review: The best diapers ever! Summary: 5 Stars
I am very careful with the products I purchase, as I do not want to harm by family with toxic chemicals nor I want to damage the environment. But "green" products sometimes lack the quality and durability of regular items, and often I have found myself in the position where I have to decide between the risk of cancer in 10 years or living without the product.
With Seventh Generation I do not have to endure this dilemma. And these diapers are great! They do not leak; they do not create dioxins, as are not bleached; they do not irritate my daughter's skin; and they are not expensive. (They run small, though...)
If, like me, you need empirical data and documentation, I encourage you to contact the company directly and ask for a sample. They are generous and have excellent customer service.
