Customer Reviews of Simply Gargle Salt Water Rinse, 0.4-Ounce Ampules in 12-Count Boxes pack of 3Customer Review: Nothing to sneeze at. Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
Though this is not a product made to specifically treat alergy symptoms, it is in fact beneficial to those, like myself, that suffer from them. I am someone that could be sick for a week if I vacuumed without a mask. The result of such activity is beyond sneezing and congestion, it all begins in the throat. I know when I am going to be sick beforehand, as I get an ache in my throat. There are many triggers for this reaction, such as certain disturbing scents, the pollution hacked out by nicotine addicts, or a lovely bouquet of flowers. Since it's easy for me to run into this situation, having these handy packets of love are a welcomed addition to my life.
The ingredients read like a Simon & Garfunkel album, and whatever combination of stuff they put in this really does the trick. You don't need water, you just squeeze the liquid in your mouth, and gargle for about 30 seconds. In my case, the ache is gone quickly, and you really feel the lubrication of the herbal chaser. Primarily glorified salt water, yes, but this is about convenience of quality ingredients in your pocket. None of which you will find in the nearest public bathroom. The only puzzling ingredient is the Vitamin C. A great supplement if ingested, but after 30 seconds, you spit it out. So, I guess it sounds nice on the box. Or maybe I am just missing the point. It does not matter. It works.
Customer Review: Works well with one suggestion Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
When Seattle's long winter drizzle sets in, the damp & cold often creates a constant nasal drip that can leave my throat slightly sore for weeks on end. Through Amazon's Vine program I got a chance to try Simply Gargle and found it works as advertised. Used consistently, it did seem to clear up the congestion. I highly recommend giving it a try. And if you travel by air or if your work exposes you to large numbers of people, it seems likely this product would also protect against infection by washing away germs before they could establish themselves in your throat.
One suggestion. The first time I tried it, I squirted the entire contents of one packet into my mouth at once and found that Simply Gargle was also Almost Gagging. It may just be me, but I can't gargle an entire packet at one time. If I gargled less strongly, the liquid triggered my gag reflex. If I gargled strong enough to get rid of the gaging, I was spraying my bathroom mirror. The solution was simple. Use only one squirt from the packet and save the rest for later. If you're not on the go and can store it standing up, one packet will last all day. The maker might consider marketing it in a small, reusable container that could be resealed like a tiny sport water bottle.
Customer Review: Simply Gargle Is Simply Convenient Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
This review will give you one thing you can't learn by reading reviews or online research only. But more about that later. Here's what I love:
1. Convenient, single-use packets.
2. The packets will pass through airport searches if you but put them into a Baggie.
3. They contain more than just salt. Echinacea, grape seed extract and vitamin C, as an example, are items I'd carry with me anyway. This puts them all in one place.
4. If you're serious about protecting yourself from disease when you travel, this product is a must. That dry, germ-ridden airplane air, you know?
5. The only thing I don't like about the product: It might be a bit difficult for arthritics to twist the tab off to use.
So about that part that you can't get from reviews. It tastes at least as good as any mouthwash, maybe better. It's kind of sagey.

Customer Review: Soothing solution for sore throats Summary: 5 Stars
Fall brings with it cooler temperatures and seasonal allergies for me. From about October to Thanksgiving, I wake up part of the time with a slightly dry, sore throat.
The first remedy I knew for sore throats was the salt-water rinse my Mother used to make for me. I never had a recipe and what I mixed up, never quite worked as well as what she did for me. Maybe it was that Mom's secret ingredient--or just knowing she'd mixed it up made me feel better.
Over the last several years, I've abandoned the salt-water rinse in favor of throat-coating teas, but when Vine offered this product, I thought it might be worth a try. No--I don't get the warm fuzzy feeling that I got from knowing my Mom mixed up a gargle for me, but the preparation really does help ease the tension and the burn in my throat and the herbs provide something of a soothing effect for longer than just the time I'm gargling.
Best, I can take the individual packets with me in my purse or car and have them whenever I need something to soothe an aching throat. No guessing at the recipe, etc. And--having the gargle packaged individually prevents me from re-infecting myself inadvertently by using the same glass. This is a very good and healthful idea.
Customer Review: simply works Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I have been using this product for nearly a year and have so far escaped illness. My first reaction was that I could make this myself, but the other ingredients I would never have on hand, nor the patience to mix together (Witch Hazel Extract, Grape Seed Extract, Sage Extract, Rosemary Extract, Rosehips Extract) in the past my home concoctions have been far too salty.
Usually I wait until someone around me is sick and then I use these packets, in addition I take vitamins, and I have managed to evade a full cold in this time. The worst I get is the first signs of one and then it disapears soon after.
I will buy this product again. My only criticism is the packaging, which I think they designed to suit the traveling businessman or something, but I find it slightly wasteful use of plastic. I think the time has come for more responsible packaging, I would be happier if this product came in a bottle.
