Ok I have been Slim Fasting off and on for years. Of course I gain the weight back if I don't Slim Fast but that is beside the point. Here is the absolute best way to make the protein shake mix. First buy a jar of Carnation Malt Mix - it is 90 calories for 3 tablespoons. BUT only use a teaspoon. Next make sure you have a really good blender. Ok - add about 1 to 1 1/2 cups of ice, 1 teaspoon of malt, and a heaping scoop of SF. Add 1 cup of milk - I use 2%. Then blend it for a long long time. If you used too much ice it will be icy - if you don't use enough is will be like a runny milk shake. It you do it right and blend it long enough it will taste just as good if not better than an honest-to-god old-fashioned thick chocolate malt. Trust me. They tell you to have 2 a day and a sensible meal. I have 3 a day with vitamin supplements etc. Lots of water - some coffee - and 1 diet pop a day. After about a week you are NOT ravenous. I have my SF malt at 10 a.m. 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Of course I do not recommend this to anyone but it works for me and if you have to get off the weight fast for your class reunion or whatever - this is an option. And no you do not crave sweets - if you drink 3 of these a day believe me. If you are lactose intolerant you might want to try the pills for that - not sure if they work because yes you may have some of the problems associated with it.
