As another reviewer said, I'm definitely not fooled into thinking this is a milkshake. I'm not a fan of the vanilla shake. It tastes like a baby formula.
Since I don't want to waste them, I'm afraid I'm stuck with 5 more cans of the vanilla junk.
After reading other reviews, I believe it's a personal preference. Some people seem to really love the Vanilla flavor. I can't stand the thought of "creamy fruit" so I would never touch the Strawberry one and I don't really care to try the Cappuccino flavor, so I can't vouch for that one. But, I've really enjoyed the Rich Chocolate Royale. So, give them a try, you'll probably find one that is to your liking.
After a few days of Slim Fast, I've come to the realization that you cannot sustain yourself on the 3-2-1 plan. Eating a shake and a bar (or 2 shakes and 2 bars) every day is just unsatisfying. I plan to continue drinking a shake for breakfast because it DID sustain me until lunch and eat a small, healthy lunch and a 100-cal afternoon snack, followed by a sensible dinner. (This is the variation from the Meal Shake/Bar, snack, Meal Shake/Bar, snack, Sensible Dinner, snack method).
In other words, don't waste your time or money. You'll want real food after a day.

I like the vanilla SlimFast. It's filling, it has a good flavor, and it's an easy/portable way to have a meal/snack on the go. I've been having Amazon ship this product for some time (which is great, since I've got a big flight of steps to get up to my house) -- but the disappointing thing is how Amazon doesn't really add any packaging material around it to protect the cans -- so many of them are always dented. And I guess in these days, now that we don't use aluminum, a dented can isn't a problem (?) -- but it just lowers the experience, to have to be drinking from a can with a huge dent in the side. So in general, yes, I like the SlimFast -- but I'm lowering the stars because of Amazon's delivery methods.Customer Review: Not sure...

I am not sure how I feel about the flavor. I am a nurse and the smell of the Vanilla shake is like that of the feedings we give patients who can't tolerate oral food. So, I am very sensitive to that smell and it makes it hard for me to really taste the product. In hopes of improving it for me I do pour it into my coffee cup which has a little coffee left in it. I do find it slightly more filling that the meal bars though. Also, the ease of bringing this to work for lunch is great. I bought this thinking that SlimFast's version had to taste even better than the equate brand Ultra Weight Loss Shake I bought from the local big name store. I hated every can. The equate version tastes like Very Vanilla Silk Soymilk, which I love. SlimFast's version has a flavor that has a hint of vanilla but was just not pleasant. It's not a bad product, but the taste was not for me. I've lost weight on both, but prefer the big name store for the more vanilla flavor, cheaper price, and 10 less calories.
