I tried 3 different smokeless ashtrays before trying this one. This was the first smokeless ashtray that lived up to its name. I myself am not a smoker but when I visit family most of them smoke. I had my sister light up in the car using this ashtray and I was not bothered by the smoke even with the windows up. I could smell it a little, but I was not breathing it in. Yahoo!

Description of Smokeless Ashtray
Cigar and cigarette smoke causes drapes, upholstered furniture, rugs, clothing and hair to smell of stale smoke long after you've put it out. This Smokeless Ashtray has a four-stage smoke filtering system and lets smokers and non-smokers experience cleaner home environments and fresher air. The plastic cordless ashtray uses 2 C batteries (not included). Extra filters are available separately. For battery installation, hold half of the ashtray with one hand while twisting and pulling apart with the other hand. Note: Some force may be needed to separate halves.Smoking Cessation
