My son is 18 years old and has never once rolled out of bed by himself. I was starting to get concerned that I'd be waking him up for college, which was a role I was sure I didn't sign up for.
On my suggestion, his grandmother bought this clock for his birthday-- he wasn't too impressed. The day after spring break ended, I heard the dogs getting fed, the younger brother getting hollered awake, and then the shower running--all before my alarm even went off. Not a fluke, it has happened every day since. Two weeks later we bought a clock for the fifteen-year-old, and now he's up on time too! They're both out of the house before I even wake up! After 18 years, it's like a dream. (They don't use the sound alarm loudly at all, it's that bed vibration that does it.)
This summer we'll buy one for the youngest's 13th birthday. Dad might be next.
They all sleep like the dead, so what can I say?

I bought this alarm for my hard of hearing wife. She was having trouble hearing out regular alarm clock in the mornings latey. I bought this as a Christmas gift. She was eager to try it. We put the vibrating piece under the mattress on her side and set it up for a test run. Works beautiful. Shakes enough that you can't sleep through it and I can hear it vibrate.
After using it for over a month, I must admit, its actually much more pieceful waking up to thatn our old buzzing alaram or the radio. This alarm does have a buzzer feature that gets VERY loud and has adjustable tones. We don't use that feature. We don't need to with the vibrator attachment.
I would definately recommend this for someone with hearing loss or heavy sleepers as well as someone that needs an alarm but doesn't want to wake up their partner/spouse every morning too.

I've been using this clock for a little while and haven't experienced any time loss like the other reviewers have. This product works very well and I highly recommend it.
All my life, I've had extremely loud alarm clocks, because I grew up in a room with a loud fish tank and I've learned to sleep through all kinds of noise. I moved to an apartment with paper thin walls and I can no longer use a really loud alarm clock so I had to find something else.
This product works better than any of my old loud alarms that I picked up at places like Radio Shack. It wakes me up every time and I wish I would have found it years ago. I but the shaker between the mattress and box spring and turned off all the sound.
Buy it and you'll be happy. If it starts not keeping time correctly you should probably replace it or send it in for warranty as I haven't experienced this problem at all.

I have never had a better alarm clock.
I've been hearing impaired since I was about seven years old. I usually fall asleep with my good ear pressed against the pillow and my bad ear facing up. For years I had problems getting up. Then my mom found this clock online. I had the same one for over a year (possibly over two - I don't remember which Easter I got it) and I only had to replace it recently because something happened to it when I was travelling over the holidays.
I'm a college freshman now and this alarm clock really helped last semester when I had earlier classes than my roommate. We have hardwood floors so it does shake her bed a bit, too, but for the most part it doesn't phase her at all. When the vibrating pad broke and I had to use just the alarm, it was horrible for both of us.
Great clock, I recommend to all especially those with hearing disabilities.

My son is about to go off to college and I've been trying to figure out how to be sure he gets up on his own. I have had to wake him up all through high school because he is a very heavy sleeper and he would just sleep right through other alarm clocks. Now that I have this sonic boom clock for him, he actually wakes up without me. Now if he would just get up out of the bed. He keeps hitting the snooze button, but luckily it goes off again in 9 mins and it actually wakes him up again. It is so loud that it wakes me up in the room below him. I don't know how much his roommate in college is going to like it, but they will have to work that out. It has different loudness settings and we are using the loudest right now. He could try using the vibration only which we haven't tried yet, but even that makes some noise because it does vibrate pretty strong. All-in-all, I love it. It was worth every penny.
