Customer Review: No Rip Off Here - mg. per Serving Size is industry standard

Given that the human body can only process 600mg. of Calcium roughly every 3 to 4 hours, and anything exceeding that amount is cast off by the body or overdosing your kidneys on calcium which can cause kidney stones if ingested in doses higher than the body can readily absorb (i.e. 600mg.) a 1000mg. capsule would be of little value and in many ways would do one harm in the long run if taken over long periods of time. I am well versed on calcium supplements due to having done extensive research on calcium supplements, having treatment resistant Osteoporosis myself and being prescribed by the doctor to take 1600mg. - 2000mg. of calcium over a 24 hour period, not to exceed 600mg. in any single dose and no dose taken closer than 3 hours apart. As such these supplements come in a standard amount of calcium per each tablet (roughly 333mg. per tablet) as other brands that offer/advertise Calcium Citrate at 1000mg. per serving. And trust me, over the years, I have tried them all, in all different types of configurations (liquid, tablets, capsules, powders, chews, etc. I love the fact that Source Naturals offers this product a a reasonable price and Amazon provides free super-saver shipping on it.
