Potassium Iodide has been proven to help in radiation emergencies. It protects you from radiated (radioactive)Iodine.
I got these tablets as a preventative maintenance measure in case (I really hope it doesn't ever happen) there is a nuclear problem.
The FDA site has the dosage information, but that's if you're getting them for that specific purpose. This specific bottle is good for *60 full "adult doses" (*if used for radiation).
If not for radiation-related stuff, then it can always be used for it's medicinal purposes.
