These arch supports have a hard bottom, but the curve in the middle of them (for the arch support) gives a little, so they give you a very comfortable & almost "bouncy" feel with each step. I have Plantar Fasciitis & these have done wonders to alleviate the pain. The only down side to them is that you can't cut them down to fit your shoe (because of the hard bottom). They fit in my tennis shoes just fine, but are too wide for my dress shoes. Give them a try though. You will love them!Customer Review: These are great!!

I have a stress fracture on my arch and like to go to spinning class. I didn't want to pay the $100+ for cycling shoes, so I bought these inserts and they are AWESOME. Very stiff (you would have to boil them to bend them at all). I wore them hiking as well and my foot felt great!Customer Review: Full support, wears well

Best arch support without having to get custom-made. Very well made. They do take up a lot of room in your footwear, so plan to use them for sneakers, hiking boots, work shoes, etc. Not for fancy shoes!
