I am over 40 with cronicle lower back pain for over 10 years. At times it's so bad I could not get up from bed on my own. I also could not sit or stand in the same posture for over 10 minutes. Because I was hurt once before during a physical treatment, I am afraid of going to chiropractors. When I saw this on Amazon, I decided to give it a try and figured if I don't like it I can just toss it in recycling. It turns out working great for me!
The first time it was uncomfortable. Once I find the right placement, it instantly got better. I started from using it only 2 minutes per day, up gradually, and now up to 15 min a day. Other reviewers are absolutely correct that you need a thick pillow to prevent neck pain. Lie very still while on the device. Be gentle, slow, and careful when laying down on top of the device and dismounting from sides. I also find that once I stopped using this device for a few weeks, the lower back pain comes back though not as bad as before. Persistent gentle use is the key for this device.
I am 5 ft 9. The device is fixed length. So I'm not sure if this will work for a very tall person.

My back was injured by a chiropractor. Long story short, I went in with no pain because I was curious about chiropractic and what it could do for me - and after several treatments I felt like I was an old man (I'm a 28 year old athlete). After an adjustment, I would feel great for 3 to 4 days and then the pain would gradually increase until I went back in for another adjustment. This went on for several months with no improvements and no end in sight. I discontinued chiropractic treatment and began to rehab myself in whatever ways I could at home and the gym. I found the spine worx online and figured it was worth a shot. I was very anxious to receive it and after my first 5 minute "adjustment" spent on it, I could tell that it was something special. I felt a little bit like a I had just gone through a chiropractic adjustment (the good feelings) and things have gotten better and better ever since. For the cost of ONE chiropractic adjustment (I feel like I was robbed of $300+ by the chiro) I definitely say that this is worth a try. Works great for me.

This is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST purchase I have ever made hands down!
I've had this product for 7 months now and I say BUY IT!
I'm 36 and have had extreme pain in my lower back since I was in high school. Every morning I would wake up in agony and have to either stretch, go for a walk, make my 6 year old walk on it or my husband massage it.
It took about a week of 5-10 minutes a day before I could literally jump out of bed in the morning. I used it faithfully for about another 2 weeks and then realized I didn't need it as much. I now use it about once a month when I feel it starting to tighten up. I will own it until the end.
It's kind of tricky to get on it properly but before buying it I read a review to "rock" on it. I also use my hands to make sure my spine is positioned properly. I started to use one of my couch pillows but quickly realized it was way too bulky and was pushing my neck up instead of straightening it out. I then switched to a bedroom pillow and wella! It works great!

I've suffered mid-back pain for over 10 years and have been diagnosed with a degenerative disk just below my shoulder blades. I've gone to the chiropractor with good short term results, but the pain has always returned. I saw the Spine-Worx in Sky Mall magazine, and was initially skeptical. After reading other users' reviews, however, my wife convinced me that it was worth a try. I'm 6'4" and I worried whether it would be effective for someone my height. It took some time to get situated properly, and it feels like I'm laying on a balance beam. (One tip I found helps is to rock up and down and back and forth slightly when I first lay on the Spine-Worx to make sure I'm centered properly on the ridges). The Spine-Worx has done wonders. I started using it two to three times a day for 15 minutes each, and now, after about two weeks I'm down to using it once every couple of days as needed. I've let family members try my Spine-Worx, and now they are ordering their own. This device is simple but has worked great for me. Where to even begin? I have suffered from chronic lower back pain for a few years and the only thing that seemed to work in the past was seeing a Chiropractor. This device, cheaper than the price of one session at a Chiropractor, streches the back muscles while also realigning my spine to keep me out of pain throughout the day. I got my spineworx last week and have already noticed that I'm feeling better throughout the day and my lower back pain is gone.
Definitely read the materials that come with it. The recommended streches you can do (leg movements, etc.) while on the board really help to go deeper and get some more cracks into placement. I find that streching my hands above my head helps to crack the vertebrae in the upper back while laying on the spineworx. Also, a nice hot bath right before laying on this helps to relax the muscles for me. 15 minutes on this thing once a day keeps me out of pain and feeling good. It was worth every penny and I'm only sorry I didn't buy it sooner!
