Actually, the design and performance is exceptional!!! I sit at my computer doing quite a bit of writing and design work and often find myself getting unnecessarily chilled. I hate wasting energy by heating an entire room and electric space heaters are expensive to run. But this baby can be adjusted to drive the demons away! I throw it over my shoulders, set the temperature and I'm good to go. The controller was a bit tricky at first; then I decided to instructions, which helped immeasurably in utilizing all of its advanced features. If they had enough, I'd give this product ten-stars.
The only drawback, is that it's made in China. I had deep reservations about buying it as I try to avoid products that are manufactured in military police states. Unfortunately there were no other products in the store when I needed it, so I had to betray (again!) my self-imposed ethics. Other than this obvious mistake on the part of Sunbeam, this product is beautiful!!! Hey Sunbeam, how's about reshoring your product line so some Americans can afford the good life?
