Customer Review: 1 year update: Works well; timer is a really nice feature

As an update I have owned this more than a year and am still very happy with it. The upper heat levels are quite hot so I am not sure what some of the reviewers are referring to. The timer is a great feature. We have used it on backs, knees, necks, foreheads, lower leg and feet: works great. It is sensitive to being partially plugged so if the connector gets tugged too much the heating pad will turn off but that is a good feature as short circuited heating pads equals fire hazard. Here is my original review:
Well made, more not as stiff as a normal heating pad, extra long cord, controller to set temperature and a timer. The timer is wonderful for going to sleep on the pad but not wanting to worry about overdoing it. Timer options from 1/2 hour to 4 hours (or only all the time) is a very practical feature. There are velcro straps in the front that can be used to secure the pad in place (it fits very nicely around my neck for instance).
There is a security/safety feature; if the controller senses a partial electrical connection it will turn itself off to avoid a high resistance condition, so don't use this with extension cords, the cord provided is long enough, and make sure the cord to pad connection stays tight (for instance, if it hangs off the side of the bed in midair it might loosen).
Very happy I have this, best heating pad ever.
