I bought this heating pad to replace an old one we had, probably from the 1970's that seemed like it was shorting out. I was worried about finding a replacement since I have seen so many bad reviews for heating pads in general. This one is a nice size, bigger than what we had before. It also has a nice long cord so it is easy to move around without getting tangled up. I use it on the high setting and it gets good and hot. It has options to stay on continuously or you can set it to turn off automatically. It says you can put the pad in the washing machine but I have not tried that yet. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and my husband likes it too.Customer Review: Probably the best #2!

I have had several of these Sunbeam soft heating pads. I have already used this new one and the high setting is pretty hot, thus I am using the 3 to 4 heat setting. I like the new fancy control too.
I like that I can put it on 2 hour setting or on continuous setting too.
I am hopeful that they have the "bugs" worked out of the control system as it is usually what goes bad...I am going to hold on to my receipts and packaging just in case this one goes bad too. I have tried other brands of this same type heating pad and the control on them goes bad too. Probably all made by the same company.

I actually had been using this product, but needed another. I bought another Sunbeam pad from Wal-Mart, which is where I bought the first at least 3 years ago. However it was not the same model, and I hated it so took it back. I wanted one exactly like my old one. So I began to look on line and found one on your site with the same model #. I am very pleased with it and also it was a few $ less than the one I took back to WM. I like this one not only because it is the perfect size, but is comfortable to use, and the heat control is easy to use, and has a 2 hour automatic shutoff feature. Thank you. This is the second one I bought. I have a medical condition that requires 24/7 heat. I use fueled devices during the waking hours, but need a RELIABLE heat source without the possibility of spillage of liquid or granules. I sleep in a regular and medical bed sometimes switching at night, so I bought two. I had the first one for over a year and would drag it around to separate parts of the house. Never had a problem with the first one. I even felt I had abused it plugging, unplugging, pushing the control on and off, and dropping the control on tile. I purchased this heating pad for my back. It does exactly what I want. It is large enough to cover the affected area, it heats up fast enough, and it keeps a constant heat as long as I need it. I particularly like the cord because of its extra length. The cord is a little stiff, but that is not a major drawback. Once I learned the routine for turning the heating pad "on" and selecting the amount of desire heat, that initial issue was resolved. The quality of the heating pad and the price on Amazon (about ten bucks less than in a major drug store chain) make this an excellent bargain.
