Looked up this item online, and many others have had the same problem. The thing works for a while and then the red light will start blinking for no reason and that's the end of the heating pad. Avoid this like the plague! I'm now looking for a non-Sunbeam replacement.Customer Review: Dont waste your money!!!

I received this and it is very small though called "king" size. I would hate to see "small"...anyway this barely got warm. I could not believe how hot it "didn't" get. I mailed this back to amazon for a refund. If you need a "hot" heating pad this is not it.Customer Review: Doesn't last long!
