Customer Review: U can Re-Use those duster cloths! (Hack suggestion)

Ok, I admit the swiffer for me is a guilty pleasure. I'm not into cleaning unless it's easy and the swiffer is oh so easy to use. But it works best if the floors are mostly clean already. If they are disgusting- well, you have to use more cloths which I don't like to do because in addition to being somewhat of a lazy housekeeper I'm also chinchy. As if that were not enough I'm also environmentally conscious so using the swiffer bothers me on many levels. The cloths are made of some pretty bad stuff, the perfumes are bad, they create waste etc. So these are the bast ways to mitigate those environmental/cost concerns and still make use of what I believe is a very well designed cleaning product.
Here's the hack for this product- P&G should scream this from the roof tops everyone would rush to buy their products.
Hack #1 - take used cloths and mop cloths and dusters and place in a zippered bra bag and wash in the washing machine. I have a bra bag devoted to this purpose and I make deposits in it nearly daily. do not dry in the dryer- allow to air dry. Everything works just as before and even better. You can do this about 3-4 times before disintegration happens. Now you are happy to clean, and because you have just tripled your savings you don't mind using the swiffer every day or so which is how it works best anyway. Also you can use your own homemade environmentally conscious cleaning blend at home for the wet cloths (aka water and maybe vinegar if it's not too much trouble).
Hack #2- take one of those microfiber cleaning cloths and cut it to the size of a swiffer mop cloth and use it for the really grimy floors. - no you don't *have* to cut it size. you could use binder clips or chip clips to hold it in place. Since I have a MF cloth devoted to floor cleaning why fuss with all that special attachment business? I just cut mine to size and poke it into the grabber holes and move on.
There. Now all they have to do is make the swiffer from recycled materials and make MF cloths that say swiffer on them and it will be green product of the century. Now go clean something, or just consider cleaning it while you wait for your swiffer to arrive.
