Customer Review: Great concept, extremely poor quality

If the swiffer sweeper didn't break every three to four months, I'd give it FIVE stars. If it lasted a year, I'd give it FIVE stars. But for some reason P&G doesn't see the need to make a sweeper that is sturdy. Come on P&G, we're already buying the wet pads and the dry pads already. Why do you think we need to be replacing the sweeper itself every few months?
Not impressed and am hoping to find a similar product that doesn't break at the slightest pressure.
If anyone can steer me in the right direction, please let me know what you are using. If P&G is not careful, the Swiffer market is going to dry up.

My roommate's family bought her a huge package of swiffer wet refills and the swiffer itself. My roommate lets me use it to clean out room with. Since we live in a dorm, our room is very limited and we walk everywhere in the room with our shoes that leaves traces of dirt behind. I used the swiffer to clean the room and it does a really good job pushing all the long hair we shed but it doesn't pick up the hair or stick on the swiffer. After swiffering i have to take a piece of kitchen towel and wipe up the hair the swiffer didn't pick up. Then after swiffering the whole floor, there are still bits of residue left on the floor.Customer Review: good luck

its great for picking up the smaller dust and it really does pick up what the broom misses. the problem is the wet pad. it comes out of the package sopping wet and dries out before you've finished half the floor. the cleaner on the pad leaves the floor sticky and unpleasent to walk on -- i'm better off with a traditional mop. one nice thing though is that the pad is disposable and the scrubber works really well -- if only it weren't such a challenge to flip the swiffer over.Customer Review: Not Good

I bought this a few months ago and it barely picks up anything off the floor. I had to use 3 dry cloths to sweep the floor and 2 wet to mop. The wet mop dries too fast and leaves a sticky residue. Would not recommend it to anyone who has more than a bathroom to clean.Customer Review: Not good for hard wood floors
