Description of System with MicroKros Flow Path Type - KrosFlo Research II TFF Systems, Spectrum Laboratories
Ideal for characterizing a separation or maintaining a validated process, these hollow fiber tangential flow filtration systems combine filtration surveillance with flexibility for a multitude of UF and MF applications. The unit performs and monitors the filtration of volumes ranging from 2mL-10L and is operated by a 2.3L/min. peristaltic pump that allows it to quickly and efficiently filter while the disposable flow path minimizes hold-up volume. Depending on processing volume requirements, the system is available with three disposable flow path types: MicroKros, MidiKros, and MiniKros Sampler Plus system types. The entire process flow path includes pump tubing, connections, and two reservoirs, and can be discarded after use along with the disposable HF module. The digital pressure monitor reads and displays process pressures with alarms that can shut off the pump under high- or low-pressure conditions, making it ideal for validating processes and protecting valuable samples. The monitor also interfaces with a PC to record all process data into the included KF Comm data collection software. The Research II pump features forward/reverse digital motor control; programmable calibration, priming, and dispensing; and is UL and CE compliant. The Research II pump head includes three stainless steel rollers and features four orientations: left, right, up, and down.
