Customer Review: Personal Opinion: Trans-Resveratrol Works

I've been taking this stuff for over two years now and attribute my higher vitality to it. Last summer, I started feeling slow until I felt I had suddenly aged at least ten years (I'm 54 now). I was trying to figure out what was causing such a systemic change, and then I remembered I hadn't placed my usual resveratrol order. I have a Prime account and can receive a resupply in two days. Within a few days, no problems. I felt like my usual self.
My wife had been scared to try resveratrol due to our research that shows the trans- molecular structure is similar to estrogen. By my readings, no link has yet been found between reservatrol and breast cancer. However, she's taking it now after seeing what happened to our ten year old Labrador Retriever.
Two months ago, we discovered that our little dog, Samantha, had liver cancer. Prognosis is grim, maybe six months. I looked on the web and found a study on liver cancer in small rodents that showed positive benefits to those given resveratrol. My wife and I decided to try this with Samantha (FYI, we also decided to mix in milk thistle).
Apparently, reservatrol is poorly metabolized and mostly wasted if you swallow it, so I take it through buccal delivery, chewing the pill and holding the contents under the tongue until it's absorbed. It doesn't taste good the first time you do this, but you get used to it pretty fast. We gave Samantha a high dose in her dog food and rub it on her gums throughout the day.
On the second day, she was no longer lethargic. She was barking for more food and, even though she has arthritis, playing and bouncing around. Both her weight and her endurance on walks have increased as well. Time will tell if resveratrol extends her life beyond the prognosis, but Samantha is back to her loving nature and we're very pleased.
It was Samantha's turn-around that convinced my wife. She's started taking resveratrol now and claims the same experiences I reported. Since all three of us are using up so much more of this stuff, we again ran out before an order came in, and my wife then felt the same sudden aging effects after just two days.
With our research, it seems the Biotivia Trans-Resveratrol is the best product of its type available and it's the only one we've ever taken. As far as dosages, I was originally taking 500mg daily, but I now feel that for my 225 pounds, 2000mg is a better dosage. My wife takes half that and so does our little Lab.
The only complaint I have is that in the last Amazon order, the pills don't seem to have 500mg, but half of that. I don't know if the formulation or manufacturing has changed, but I plan to find out. But as far as whether resveratrol itself works... for me, absolutely yes.
