I don't think any of these digital scales are 100% accurate, but this one seems to come pretty close. Tanita is probably the #1 brand when it comes to consumer body scales, and I'm happy with the BC533.
Keep in mind that the other measurements besides weight (such as body fat %, water composition, muscle mass, etc.) will not be accurate, so don't expect them to be. But they will give you a general idea of where you stand and where you need to go. If you need accuracy on those things, go to a doctor or buy calipers and learn to measure yourself.

I purchased this scale in May and have been extremely satisfied. My old scale could be 2 or 3 pounds different within seconds of getting on and off. This one is EXACTLY the same (as one would expect for weighing twice in a couple of seconds).
At this price, it seems to be a durable scale and is fairly easy to set up if you read the instructions. It also gives great information about how it measures bone mass, fat %, etc.
If you have to weigh every day and it needs to be accurate, then this would be an excellent choice.

Wow, according to the scale, my visceral fat (gut) has gone up since I last checked two weeks ago--I need to work on that. This scale has helped me a lot to track my progress against what I eat and what exercise I take up. Fat percentages, bone mass, and other stats help me understand what changes my body goes through depending on how I treat it, so it inspires me to want to improve the numbers that are going the wrong way. It's money well spent, considering it could be blown otherwise on a couple of dinners out.Customer Review: Does more than you think!

I have loved this scale! It has amazing features that are easy to use and it's easy to program. It gives you a total run down on your weight, body fat, visceral fat (around your middle), how hydrated you are etc. I bought it mainly for measuring weight and body fat, but have ended up using all of the features. It is also great for tracking progress and setting fitness goals. Tanita is the brand for body composition monitors. The Tanita BC533's ease of use and its capabilities in measuring body fat, weight, muscle mass, water percent, visceral fat %, bone density and metabolic age comparisions were extremely helpfull in keeping track of my fitness. The modern look also made it look attractive and was a great addition to my bathroom. Don't forget to only use it on hard surfaces because it will give you very inaccurate readings if you don't.
