I bought a similar Taylor bathroom scale about 5 years ago for about $18-20 and to this day it is working perfectly and accurately, and so I bought this model from Target a few days ago for another bathroom and it too is very consistent and accurate.
Of course, my weight varies throughout the day and night, so what I mean by "consistent" is that I can jump on and off either one of these two inexpensive Taylor scales five times in a row and get exactly the same reading! This has not been my experience with a few other brands in the past. In addition, what I mean by "accurate" is that if I weigh myself on it just before leaving for a doctor's appointment and then get weighed there, the doctor's fancy scale usually reports almost the same weight as what I got at home that morning on the Taylor.
Sometimes I wonder whether people who complain about the consistency or accuracy of home bathroom scales have taken the time to read and follow the instructions for initial calibration of the scale, and for re-calibration after the scale is moved.
