Ok, I was expecting 0.2 lb of error. But the scale is off by AT LEAST 2 lb (and up to 5 lb!) when compared to cheap scales (and I compared to some 4 different scales). They say that the accuracy is +/- 0.2 lb, but I guess one can only achieve that on a perfect surface, which is almost never the case. This is what they do not say in the product description. And there is not an adjustment in the scale to correct this offset, so one can only hope that the scale comes calibrated from the factory. I will call Taylor to see what they have to say. Not to say that I did not say something nice, it is a beautiful scale.Customer Review: Not up to Taylor's reputation

The primary purpose of a scale is to provide accurate information. This one, although it give consistent successive readings, they are often different from readings taken a few minutes before or after, sometimes by greater than a pound. Don't expect the 0.1 accuracy the scale's display suggests. On a positive note, it looks nice.
