After my old bathroom scales actually fell apart, I studied the scales offered through Amazon and looked at what was offered at the big box stores like Target and Walmart. I finally decided on the Taylor 7519 scales. I like the design. It looks sleek, modern and simple. The scale is accurate except for when I might wobble on them. Although I would have preferred to have bought a product actually made in the USA, I was not able to find anything affordable. The best I could find was an American company (Taylor) but these scales are made in China. At any rate, I am satisfied with the looks and the performance of the Taylor 7519. As for the price, it wasn't a steal, but I still believe it is a fair price to pay for such great looking scales. And thanks to Amazon, this product qualified for free shipping! Very attractive scale. Like the way the display lights, easy to see. Moderate variation in what the weight shows - seems dependent on where I stand on the scale, but I'm really not interested in if I am really 220 or 218 today - I'm looking at the overall trend of my weight. This is a great scale. The large numbers and backlighting make it very easy to read. We have found that it does not read well on any type of surface with "give" in it. It must be on a tile or wooden floor to get an accurate reading.Customer Review: a gift for a friend

I purchased this scale for a friend. As far as I know she seems pleased with the looks and performance. I have a similar scale and I love mine. Its within 1 lb of hospital scales.
