This is my second attempt at trying a bookstand. I originally had the FEL10024 - Wire Study Stand by Fellows Manufacturing. That was an okay stand. It couldn't be used with big books and could tip. Also it was hard to turn the page without taking the book out of the stand.
This Easi-Reader bookstand is so much better in every way. you can fit books of all sizes with this thing. It folds easily and can fit in a folder. heck, you could use it as a bookmark.
and the best thing is that you can still turn the page with the book in the stand.
if there's any negative, it's the cost. after shipping, this thing was pushing $15. I guess you get what you pay for.
the only other possible negative comment is if you're an OCPD type person, while the bookstand worked fabulously, it wasn't machined perfectly. it's not perfectly symmetrical and appears a little bent. my stand, with no book in place, one of the legs is not touching the desk like the other leg. slight imperfections. nothing to affect performance but i know people return things that have a scratch. or people that return a monitor if there's 1 dead pixel.
