I am a medical student, and I was somewhat skeptical about purchasing this flimsy-looking book stand. I was afraid that it couldn't handly my heavy, 3" thick text books. Boy was a wrong! It doesn't look like much, but the Easi Reader Bookstand can take on any one of my huge text books! It doesn't scratch my desk either when I slide it around, which is nice, and you can adjust the back metal bar to adjust your book's angle. Speaking of book's angle, having my book proped up has taken a lot of tension off of my neck. I used to have to stop studying because my neck would hurt after leaning over the books for long periods of time. It also folds up for convenient storage, especially in my school bag. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone in my medical school class.
