This is the thermometer we reach for first, of the three we have purchased. It is consistently a fast read, providing an accurate temperature within seconds, so you don't have to hold a squirming little one with the thermometer clamped under their arm.
The display is big enough that my two-year-old can watch the numbers climbing as his axillary temp is being taken, which encourages him to hold still.
It provides a pleasant beeping when it is done reading, and a more urgent beeping if the temp is into fever zone.
As an added bonus, it is quite well sealed, and therefore has a good level of water-resistance, which always helps when you are dealing with a sick child!
