I have had this neat device for about 10 days & it performs as advertised. It amplifies (would underline that word if I knew how)TV & conversations within a room. I have not worn it in a restaurant or at a party, having been cautioned by the ads that the amplification is too loud & unable to filter out unwanted noises in those situations. That same criticism is spoken by many of my friends who have 2,3,& 4 thousand dollar hearing aids. The best part of using this device is the prompt, courteous response I received when I contacted the manufacturer with what I feared was a "dumb question".Customer Review: Stealth Amplifier

I know a lot of people say this wasn't that effective but I thought I would give it a try anyway. I think there is some minimal background noise from time to time depending on the surroundings but I think it works great. I can hear things I definitely couldn't hear without it and it makes a big difference in being to keep the TV at a normal volume while listening to a program. I hAve to sit in meetings with several other people daily and before I couldn't hear a lot of the conversation but now I can. Its definitely worth the money for this product. I ordered from Amazon. com because I trust them to deliver. I've had a few hundred dollars a year of experience with them and this is the 1st thing I've received that didn't work. It was packaged like it was used and had been opened and repacked with blank paper, etc. and it failed to work.
After going on line and copying the stuff to return the goods, it was easy and the 2nd day after I received the product, it was returned to Amazon and the promise was given to send me another one immediately. They did! and I'm a repeat happy customer with Amazon.

I purchased this for my 83 year old father who is pretty hard of hearing. He never wanted to get a real hearing aid, so I thought he should try this. The fact that it is rechargeable is nice, especially since I've read that all of the battery operated ones go through batteries in either a couple of hours or a couple of days. So I opted for this one mainly because it is rechargeable. My dad likes it a lot; it has greatly improved his hearing...we don't have to yell into his ear...we can talk with a normal voice to him and he can hear us just fine.Customer Review: Excellent product

I am surprised to read negative reviews of this product. For me, it works great and is well worth the price. I use it every day, and I really like the rechargable factor. I would absolutely recommend it and would buy it again. On rare occasions, there is a little static, but it is short lived and clears up quickly. Someone told me that it may have something to do with being a wireless device, and occasional interference from other wireless devices in my apartment building is to be expected. But, like I say, any static is short lived and rare.
