I'm a young woman with chronic pain from a 3 year old injury. About 10 years ago, my mom gave me some ice packs from this brand and i used them on my knees after working out (I'm active and so injury myself often). She had used them herself after her own injury. Anyway, I ordered a new Thermamed cold pack because the old ones weren't staying very cold anymore and they are the best of all the ice packs i have. I ended up ordering 2 more. I don't use the white stretchy band, but i can see how they would useful. I should actually order a couple more of them to have handy.
