Over the past couple of years, I had been waking up with neck pain every morning. I knew it was probably due to the complete lack of support in my pillow, but was overwhelmed by the task of finding one that would work for me in the sea of pillows that could supposedly help you but will cost you a lot of money, so I didn't do anything. I tried my husband's buckwheat pillow for a little more support, with no avail. I was starting to get more migraines. I hadn't really pieced the headache/neck pain thing together until the massage therapist I was going to kept telling me to get to a chiropractor because my top couple of vertebrate were out of wack and probably it was contributing to the migraines. I ended up going to a neurologist instead to get some pain relief in a bottle. After taking them for even a few short days they were making me feel terrible. I decided to come off of them and actually try the pillow route. I haven't had a migraine in the 3 weeks I've had it and my neck pain is gone. I went for a follow up visit to the doctor and he said that 75% of people have neck pain as one of the onset signs of a migraine. After my experience, I can't help but wonder if a certain percentage of those couldn't use a better pillow and if there migraines couldn't be eliminated by better neck support. This is the most awesome pillow in the world. It takes a couple of days to get used to and the sizing really is very important. I feel like when I lay my head down on it that it was specially made for me, like the foam that cradles really fragile things you get in the mail. I wake up sometimes in the night and whereas before I thought to myself, oh no, my neck hurts, I'm going to get a headache, now I smile in the dark and think, nothing hurts, I can't believe it! My husband has become accustomed to me saying, "I love my pillow" every night before I fall asleep now. It's saved me and given me back my days.
