The heel fit is not exact; however, the product works well. When I have a flare up I put the splint on and wear it for a little while (a couple hours or so), and the pain is alleviated. Sometimes I actually wear it inside my shoe to work because I'm on my feet a lot. It's a bit awkward and throws off my gait a little, but actually helps minimize the pain. Note: Be careful not to over tighten; I learned the hard way that it will cut off your circulation! I would not advise wearing it overnight.
