While this item did work well while it lasted, it is poorly constructed and of cheap material. the ear pieces virtually disintegrated in under 6 months, making it virtually useless and I was holding some of it together with duct tape prior to that. When I tried this scope at the trade show it worked fine. I ordered the scope and started to use it at my office and I was hearing radio stations through the stethescope while I was examining patients. I made multiple calls to ThinkLabs and could only leave a message on the answering machine. I finally got a human being and got authorization to return the scope. They had the scope for several weeks - I called to inquire about the refund and finally was refunded.Customer Review: Good luck getting it serviced

I bought it in March 07, it performed well but within 3 months, despite very careful handling and storage, I lost sound in the left earpeice. I was unable to get a reply to emails or phone messages at thinklabs (all phone calls are routed to voice mail) so I followed the directions on the website for product return for repair. I mailed it according to instructions August 31. It is now Sept 24 07. Thinklabs remains unresponsive to phone calls and emails.Customer Review: Not durable

I picked this up at a conference in 2006. The first week was great and I heard everything. After just one week, the earpiece caught on my collar and broke, requiring a return to the company for repair. After that, use and abuse tooks its toll. 3 monthes later, I joked with the nurses that it was like auscultating through a McDonald's drive-thru window.
Stay low tech.

Did you ever get your stethoscope back or hear from the company? I'm very intrigued by this product, but if service is this bad it wouldn't be worth the risk.
