I have not been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, but my thyroid is on the lower end of the "normal" functioning range. With having heart failure it is really difficult to get the energy to exercise. By the middle of the day I'm tired and worn out; barely able to keep my eyes open.
About six months ago, I began taking thyrotril again. My energy levels are up. I must warn you that you have to be careful about what time you take them. First thing in the morning, I have to take two and then I don't dare take the afternoon dose after three due to not being able to sleep if I do that. I don't use the supplements as the key to weight loss. I use them in order to have the energy to exercise so that I can lose weight. The diet I follow is already very strict due to the heart failure. The doctor did ok my taking the supplement since she said they were coming close to putting me on a medication for that too. The stuff in it can make your blood pressure rise, but for me it does not; this could be due to the heart medication I currently take.
This is not a "miracle pill" with which you can eat whatever you want and expect dramatic weight loss to happen. It helps me considerably so that I can follow a regular diet and exercise program. So far, I've managed to lose about 50 lbs and my goal is to lose 60 more. Without the thyrotril I get no results whatsoever. With it I get the results a person normally would and can keep up with work, my 11 yr old, and house/life stuff a lot better.
