This product seems to do a great job of getting the clothes clean. I had previously been using a powder which left a little white residue on some of the clothes despite my efforts to dissolve it prior to washing. I decided to try a liquid detergent instead. I am still on the first bottle and feeling a little dubious about its claims to wash 32 loads as the bottle does not seem that big and the cup seems quite big. But I am keeping count of the loads and will edit my review when I am done to indicate whether or not I was actually able to do 32 loads with the amount provided.
Edited now that I have finished a bottle. Okay, about a third of the way through the bottle, I noticed there were lines marked inside the cup. Honestly, they're pretty faint and difficult to see in the dim light of my laundry room. The fine print on the back of the bottle states that for a full load you should fill the cup to the number 2, which is only about half of the cup. So - I used less detergent for the last 2/3 of the bottle, than for the first 1/3. Even so, 32 loads is a bit of a stretch. I'd like to see them make the cup the correct size so that a full load is a full cup so that I'm not peering trying to find the right line in dim light.

First things first: The Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging really is frustration-free. The two bottles of detergent were nicely packed in a plain cardboard box, contained in another cardboard box. My concern when getting bottles of liquid shipped is if they will leak in transit. These did not. Both bottles were intact.
So, how about the product itself? I have used Tide for many years. Although I sometimes use other brands, I keep coming back to Tide. Lately I have used mostly Tide Free, the unscented variety. The Original Scent has a pleasant aroma though, and leaves clothes smelling fresh, not soapy or chemical-smelling.
Tide cleans well. When clothes are heavily stained, I pre-treat them by rubbing a bit of Tide into the stain before washing. I don't know if that is necessary, but the stains come out.
This detergent is concentrated, so a little goes a long way. I like the smaller, easy to handle and store bottles. If there is a negative to this product, it is that is not easy to see exactly where the measuring lines are in the cap, so it would be easy to use more soap than you need.
There are cheaper detergents available, but I like how Tide works.

We've used TIDE for all of our married life. I believe TIDE is the best laundry detergent on the market and here's why:
1. I am allergic to most perfumes in laundry detergents, but not TIDE. Most of the cheap detergent brands out there put TONS of perfume in the detergent and this causes me to break out in rashes, ex. I "GAIN" a rash when using another particular detergent. I will never switch from TIDE because it's the only scented detergent I can use.
2. A little bit of TIDE goes a long way. I've found that my clothes get just as clean only filling the pour cup to the first hash line. This saves me tons of money over the course of a year. If you go with cheaper detergents, you're just paying for added water and salt in the bottle and you have to use a full pour cup to get the same results you can get from TIDE.
I'm glad Amazon is offering this in the "frustration-free packaging," which means, the two bottles arrived double-boxed. There was no spillage and the bottles were in perfect shape!
We will never, ever switch from using TIDE and hope to see some "Special Offers" for it on Amazon.

I am sure plenty are surprised by the headline of this review but yes, I am one of the very few people on this Earth who has never consistently bought Tide detergent to do laundry. I never really thought there would be a difference and besides, it costs two times what 'store' brand detergents costs. Yes. I am cheap.
However, I might have to suck it up and begin using Tide regularly just for the fresh and lovely smell alone. This Tide can be bought from Amazon in two 32 load, 50 ounce bottles in frustration free shipping. And the cost of both bottles is several dollars cheaper than what you can buy it for at the store.
Tide's fresh smell stayed with the clothes for a long time.
Loadwise, I probably used more than I should have -- I think the directions called for one lid full but my washing machine is an extra large and so I used two capfuls. This detergent lasted over a month and I wash more than five loads of laundry a week.
I will definately buy Tide from Amazon. It is cheaper and is delivered right to your door!

What can you say about Tide? This laundry detergent has been around for years, and there is good reason why - it just works.
Sure, Tide may have changed in a few ways over the decades - the old powder became a liquid detergent, the liquid became more concentrated so it takes less for each load, the scent has perhaps changed subtly. But the cleansing power has stood the test of time and is a staple of many households around the country.
Tide says this particular formula fights stains better than ever before, but to be honest I can't attest to that improvement. I never had a problem with the way it removed stains before, so while it may be improved somehow, it isn't likely I would notice when comparing it to older versions of the Tide formula.
The scent is refreshing yet unobtrusive, making it something that both male and female customers can wear without embarrassment.
I highly recommend Tide 2x Ultra Liquid Original Scent for all your laundry needs, as well some commone household cleansing chores.
