Customer Review: Simple and great for keeping kids "on time"

We got this timer to help our young kids (4 and 6) know how much time is left before having to leave the house for school in the morning. We set it after they have finished breakfast and getting dressed. So during "Play" time, they know they have 10 minutes, or 20 minutes, etc (depending on the day).
It is easy to set and the kids can set it themselves.
It doesn't feel very durable, but in our household, it would have been destroyed if it wasn't. It still looks new. I don't think it would be appropriate for younger children.

I am a Children's Counselor and use this in my practice. This is my second one. It is extremely useful to help children with the concept of the passage of time. I also bought one for my grandchildren. They use it to get ready for school, computer time, and other activities. I recommend it for teachers, therapists, and parents. This timer has been a wonderful asset to our preschool classroom. It is a large visual reminder for young children. It looks fragile but is durable and sturdy. I was disappointed in the lack of alarm volume. It is a single, soft, beep beep. I would buy this timer again but not pay extra for optional alarm.Customer Review: sturdy enough

This clock is helping a 7 and 5 year old master time, plus I am using a timer with alarm. it is sturdy enough and I set it, not the kids. a good investment, calmed the house down, we get out the door on time now.
