Tom's of Maine Baking Soda Mouthwash, Natural, Peppermint, 1 pt (473 ml) (Pack of 4)
This product is refreshing when swished in the mouth, has no alcohol, and is clear and only with a faint tint of color in the liquid. I definitely prefer it to conventional types of mouthwash.
Customer Review: Better than many, but way too sweet Summary: 3 Stars
Amazon was out of our favorite mouth rinse, so we researched and got this stuff. I stopped using it because it's too sweet for me. Wifey says it's ok, but we're still on our first jar 2 months later, while we'd be through 2 bottles of our favorite by that point, easily.
By the way, our favorite is Dr. Katz TheraBreath Oral Rinse, 16-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2). Glad it's back on amazon. I see Tom's making it's way to the back of the closet.
Customer Review: Warning: Contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate Summary: 2 Stars
If you get canker sores, do not use this product. It contains sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), which has been proven to cause canker sores for people who are prone to them or sensitive to SLS (a soap). My dentist recommended this and the Tom's toothpaste as I used to get constant canker sores. This did not help at all, and I eventually switched to Sensodyne, which is SLS-free. No more canker sores, ever! So for many people, this mouthwash may be fine, but for those of you looking for the information that I was, YES this product does contain SLS.
