So far I have bought a grand total of two of these--and it's not for lack of durability. We had a power outage last February that lasted around a week, and at that time, my mother had introduced me to the concept of hot water bottles. Before then I had never realized how effective a hot water bottle could be, adn I had always been under the impression that they were rather old fashioned and no longer useful with the modern amenities we have.
Ahahaha. Hahaha. How stupid of me.
Anyway, I decided to buy this hot water bottle for my mother, first--she seemed really nostalgic, and I felt that it would be nice to get her a proper one, especially since she has been having trouble falling asleep lately. It worked excellently for her, and I eventually decided to get one of my own, and it's been a wonderful life since. I probably abuse my water bottle more than most people--I've used it several times a day for back ache or muscle cramps, in addition to it's intended use. Let me tell you, it's very good for removing the grump from anyone.
But, now that I've finished explaining why water bottles, in general, are heavenly, I should probably explain why I like this water bottle so much--most likely, it won't be anything that someone has yet to mention.
The Fashy water bottle has a solid construction, and while it does seem to have seams, they appear to be well connected and sound. One side of the bottle is smooth, while the other has ridges, so you can somewhat choose between your heat level. The cap closes screws on tightly and is waterproof, and the mouth is wide and doesn't splash back. The material holds up well to a moderate amount of pressure (like what would happen if you rested your legs on it), and probably more. It does not distend, nor does it feel like it will pop.
I, too, fill the water bottle with boiling water. I find that this makes the heat last longer. Moreover, since the material is so thick and insulates so well, I find it rather hard to get burned by the bottle. Filling it up with hot tap water makes it warm--but not sufficiently enough for me.
The product does arrive with a slight lemony smell, but this quickly disappears. If you are severely bothered by it, rinsing the hot water bottle out a few times is sufficient to make it unnoticeable.
As a side note--if you have a school-age child with the notorious backpack of doom, I would suggest buying this for them. I certainly had trouble finding something reusable and warm to put against my back as I slept--the closest I ever managed to come was a cat, but those also come with scratch marks.

I have been searching for a hot water bottle to reside next to the one that I brought home from Italy 18 years ago. I've tried a couple others and none have had the quality or effectiveness that this one does. Finding the right hot water bottle isn't as easy as it sounds and the cheap plastic ones can come apart and spill water all over. I saw this one it looked enough like the one had to give it a try. The Fashy Transparent Hot Water Bottle is a terrific product at a very good price and now I can pre-heat the bed where my back aches and one to warm my toes -- it's terrific and makes falling asleep easier and more comfortable.
Americans tend to turn the heat up when the temperature drops. In Europe you fill your water bottle with hot water and slip it into the bed 30-60 minutes before bedtime and have toasty toes for hours. I usually wrap mine in a towel to help insulate the bottle and slow the rate of temperature dropping -- some nights the water is still lukewarm 24 hours later. Going to sit outside for your son's football game? Bring your hot water bottle with you to keep warm. Going on a long drive and the heater doesn't do the job well in the back seat -- yup, take the hot water bottle with you. Please note that if the water is really hot that you should wrap in a towel -- the heat will linger longer and you'll appreciate it. Are you feet always cold at work -- think hot water bottle and heat without electrical cords.
If I get chilled during the day I heat up the water bottle and put it on my lap while reading or watching TV and even while using the computer -- it is a plush kind of heat and always feels great. Now I won't have to fight my husband for space next to the warmth.
And, if you think about it it is the better alternative to turning up the heat -- fill bottle, reuse the water, heat again, and then repeat. My cat waits until I'm asleep to find her spot on the bottle under the blanket and keep warm.
The product arrived in time, well packaged, and after a couple week of using it I give the Fashy Hot Water Bottle five stars *****
Next Christmas they will be my gifts to family membesr and get them into the eco-friendly heat source.

My husband and I went on a second Honeymoon this fall to Europe and discovered something interesting about England. Hot water bottles are very popular there, in fact, they are a common household staple! I wasn't sure what the purpose of a hot water bottle was, I mean, it seemed so old fashioned. So, I asked my British friend about it and she explained that they're for anything from cold hands and feet in winter to soothing cramps and muscle aches. She said that she personally liked to snuggle up with it at night and it helped her sleep. I asked if a heating pad would serve the same purpose. After all, that's what we use in America...
She said: 'Oh no, it's not the same!' So, I decided that I must get one (they were in every Boots store) and bring it home. But, alas, we ran out of time on our trip and never were able to get one. When I returned home, I searched and searched for a hot water bottle, but to no avail. Either America thinks they are too old-fashioned, or they haven't wised up yet!
Anyway, I ended up looking online and I found this model right here on Amazon. Seriously, look no further if you are looking for a hot water bottle. It's a bit pricey, but SO worth it!!
Pros: transparent!! Which means you can see how much water is going in

retains heat like you wouldn't believe. Mine lasts 8 hours!

This hot water bottle is amazing! I see now what the Brits are fond of, it's so cozy and warm. Far superior to a heating pad and/or an electric blanket. =) =) =)

What can I say? I've owned many water bottles before and it was only by accident that I ran into the Fashy-brand bottles on Amazon; I am forever glad that I did.
After using this bottle for 6 months, it is hands down the best one I've ever used.
PROS:
1) Huge mouth and anti-"spurt" lip prevent water spitting back out like those old rubber ones
2) OMG It's transparent!!! No more guesswork about how much hot water is inside!
3) VERY easy to tighten, and SECURE bottle cap! I've literally sit on this thing with boiling water, and filled to the max, and it has never leaked
4) Leakproof design, unlike old rubber counterparts, due to the fact that is made in a single mold, without any kind of
5) It's frikken' transparent!!
CONS:
1) No doubt about it. For $24-27 shipped, it is expensive, but IMO if you use this thing daily like I do for muscle pain/helping with sleep/feel warm and toasty in a cold room, then it's damn worth it (this is coming from a loyal tightwad gazetter :P)

I have two of these Fashy transparent bottles and still love them to death (so does my mum), but one thing to note that I also experiencing a "yellowing" of the bottles. I am located in the Bay Area, so I don't think it has to do with the local water supply. Anyways, it doesn't affect the performance, but I loved the original clear, clean look. It still has it, but with a tinted yellow discoloration.

SO, it's JUST a hot water bottle. I could review it by stating that it LOOKS NICE, FEELS GOOD, IS CLEAR instead of PINK, DOESN'T LEAK, and so on. Yes, those things are true about this water bottle and they're what has made it my favorite. But, in the end, it's JUST a hot water bottle. But, therein lies the rub, a hat water bottle is far more important for comfort and sleep than most folks would admit. I swore off electric blankets years ago and just presumed that I'd be able to adequately warm the bed with my hot body. That isn't true. I gave up the comfort of a warm bed because I had concerns about EMFs. I noticed a distinct decline in my sleep comfort shortly after I unplugged for the last time.
But, I'm here today to tell you that using the hot water bottle instead of electricity has been a wonderful experience. I fill my bottle and toss it into the foot of my bed a few minutes before retiring for the day. Warm feet have been found to enhance sleep (I did a study a few years back).
I used one of those pink hot water bottles until I SPRUNG A LEAK. I chose this clear one as a replacement and it is great. It is sturdy AND pliable. I fully expect to enjoy this one for MANY YEARS TO COME.
