I have been living and working in Euorpe for almost 8 years. I still bring certain US electronic products to Europe and need to use transformers. I've only been using this Franzus 85 Watt for a few weeks but have been very impressed. One feature that I especially like is the 3 prong grounded plug coupled with the fact that this is a grounded transformer. I've been shocked when using non-grounded plugs. Perhaps the only drawback to the Franzus 85 Watt is its size, making a little too bulky if you're traveling light. Otherwise it's a great transformer if you're staying in one place. If you're looking for a travel converter with some adaptors you might consider the Recoton ADF1650 50/1600W Dual Wattage Travel Converter. I've literally used this transformer non-stop for years to power a small electric Braun toothbrush.
