Description of UHQ PS System - PURELAB UHQ Water Purification and Polishing Systems, Siemens Water Technologies
Designed for Type I water, these compact portable water purification systems deliver up to 10L per day of high purity water while assuring peak water quality through proven purification techniques. The units have a 4L (1gal.) storage tank capacity with a flow rate of 0.75L/min., and a typical cycle time of 10 minutes. The UHQ II system provides 18.2 megohm-cm water from tap water feed. It incorporates an efficient, low-pressure thin-film reverse osmosis (RO) membrane designed to operate on raw potable feed and deionize the feedwater to remove colloidal and microbiological impurities. The UHQ PS system, which does not include RO, is designed to produce 18.2 megohm-cm water from pre-purified tap water. Both systems feature a high quality absorption media cartridge that removes low molecular weight organic compounds, a specially-conditioned ion exchange resin to assure absolute ionic purity, and a UV reactor cell that reduces microorganisms and TOC levels. A fitted 0.05um absolute filter protects the microbore columns in analytical instruments. The ultra-pure water is recirculated to maintain optimum quality and inhibit microbial growth. A quality meter continually displays resistivity of the water. Conforms to BS 3978 (1987) Grade 1 water for lab use, ASTM Type 1, CAP Type 1, NCCLS Type 1, and ICMC "IDEAL" specifications.
