I too have switched to Persil upon Miele's recommendation and have been thoroughly happy with the results. It may be pricier, but wash per load it is no more than any other detergents because you need so much less of it.
My only suggestion is that I would like to see Persil in phosphate free formula.

Persil is a great product but far to overpriced to be considered cost effective in the US. Tide will do the same for half the price.
