This item is my favorite. I have AMD and rely on magnifiers to view everyday objects. I have purchased many types but this item can be easily carried and has a built in light. This is a neat functional magnifier. The only complaint is that the switch can accidentally get turned on and burn out the bulb. This has happened to 2 of these for us. A design error allows the switch to come on too easily and the bulb only lasts a few hours if it is left on continuously, which of course happens if you are unaware it is on.Customer Review: UltraOptix LED 3x Magnifier Illuminated

If you can't use your right hand then this is not the magnifier to purchase. This was the case with my elderly mother. Having an illuminated magnifier is a plus but wish the magnification was greater to help with macular degeneration.
