Customer Reviews of Ultreo Ultrasound ToothbrushCustomer Review: Love the just left the dentist feeling!! Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I've been using the Ultreo for about 6 weeks now...I wanted to give myself a chance to really get to know the results before I settled on my opinion. I was using an Oral B electric toothbrush prior to using Ultreo, and I was satisfied with the feeling I got from that. The feeling I get from Ultreo, however, is a whole different experience. At first I wasn't sure I was going to like it, and it's not an abrasive cleaning tool...which is more what I was used to. It relies more on the 'sonic' waves for cleaning...and they WORK!! After the first few days, my teeth ached, they were so clean. And I have to tell you I am a fanatic about my teeth...I want them CLEAN, sparkly and fresh all the time, thus I brush several times a day, and periodically use white treatments. However, since I started using Ultreo, I haven't used a white treatment, have brushed twice a day, and am extremely please with the way my teeth look and feel. They're glossy and white, and feel like I've just let the dentist office clean. I've actually had several people comment on how great my teeth look...and that thrills me!!
After the first few days of brushing twice a day, for the alloted 2 min., the aching went away, and I got more used to clean that is less abrasive. I sometimes will brush for longer than the 2 min., depending on if I've chewed alot of gum, or my teeth are feeling particulary in need of a deeper clean. I simply hit the start button again, and brush until I feel my teeth are as clean as they can possibly get. The Ultreo holds a great charge--I've left if off the charger for as much as 2 days--and it brushed no different than if it'd charged all day.
I've said all that, lol, to say this:
Would I pay almost $200 dollars for this toothbrush?? YES!! In a heartbeat, and I will be purchasing replacement heads.

I have been using the Ultreo long enough to learn that it will hold a charge for more than two weeks with normal use. I must admit the first time I used it was not a comfortable experience. I do have sensitive teeth and the vibrations seemed excessive. But I do notice the experience gets better ever day. So the two weeks of use is probably a good length of time to become accustomed to it.
This power toothbrush works with a sonic bristle action that is combined with what is called ultrasound waveguide technology. The toothbrush seems to work fine and if used as directed will not only clean your teeth but also protect your gums. I found with the old round power brush and my manual brush I seemed to be over brushing and causing my gums to recede. With the Ultero that problem is now solved. And the power tip does create microbubbles as advertised.
The toothbrush has an automatic shut off that allows the toothbrush to run for the recommended two-minutes of brushing time. It also has a signal that will beep every thirty seconds so that you are reminded too give equal time to all surfaces of your mouth. The handle can also be programmed for either one or two users.
The handle has lighted indicators that let you know when the battery is charging, when it is time to replace the brush head and a battery level indicator. I have found this toothbrush can easily hold a charge for a full week worth of brushing. And the charger is small anyway, so it is not a problem to pack. The Ultreo also comes with a convenient travel case.
So if you had trouble with the old rotary toothbrush as I did a few years ago and want to give a power brush another chance, this may be the one for you. It also has a thirty-day satisfaction guarantee.
Customer Review: Brushing your teeth is no longer a dreaded chore. Summary: 5 Stars

With the overwhelming supply of toothbrushes on the market, one had to wonder what Ultreo brings to the table that the top competition does not. It's a fair question that was answered immediately with my first use. The Ultreo Ultrasound Toothbrush is, quite literally, amazing. I've used Sonicare and Oral B brushes in the past, and I must say nothing else on the market can quite compare to this. Developed by former employees of Sonicare, the Ultreo brings to the table a clean, fresh feeling like no other.
I've seen some gripes about difficulty getting used to this brush, but I found it didn't take any getting used to whatsoever. The comfort level is amazing: I have sensitive teeth and gums and I've felt no discomfort whatsoever in using this brush. With just a small amount of toothpaste, the Ultreo uses its ultrasound technology to create a sea of suds. Don't be surprised if you look rabid by the end of your brushing, but in this case that's a good thing. The catchy little chime that plays every 30 seconds is also a nice feature, letting you know when to switch your focus onto a different area. It also automatically shuts off after two minutes, so you know you've gotten the full effect of a quality brushing. Afterwards, you're left with no slimy film and literally a professionally-cleaned feeling.
The only thing that leaves a bad taste in my mouth with this product is the cost of its replacement heads. They really are outrageously overpriced, and hopefully the execs at Ultreo will recognize this sooner rather than later. Overall, however, the Ultreo Ultrasound Toothbrush is a highly recommended product that should actually leave you enjoying brushing your teeth regularly.
Customer Review: Works great, no complaints Summary: 5 Stars

Prior to using this brand I got to experience the new Sonicare brush, and even thought the other one has many more features and settings, the results are almost the same. The only thing I wish this came with was a brush head sanitizer, that's one thing I'm jealous of from the other brand.
The Ultreo brush looks good and feels great in the hand, the charger is also nifty - a round doughnut like shaped disc that you slide base of the brush into making charging very easy and convenient. There is a short melody that signals every 30 seconds to switch brushing for another quadrant of the mouth. The vibrations produced are pleasant and when there is some water in the mouth - recommended by the instructions - the bubbles form really well and I can hear the squeaky clean of my teeth. I haven't enjoyed brushing my teeth in my whole life as much as I do now. The feeling of my inner lower teeth mimics that of professional cleaning from a dentist, very impressive. I must also add that I use gel toothpaste, since the instructions are clear that it makes more bubbles.
Overall this is a great buy and it looks artsy while comes with a nice travel case. I'm always surprised to see how fast the two minutes go by, I enjoy brushing my teeth for once and the clean feeling lasts all day. Even if I ever forget to brush them, my teeth stay and feel great but of course I try my best to remember since tooth problems are the last thing I am waiting for! I can't see myself using a manual toothbrush ever, to me that would be downgrading my health and the results are not the same. I have been officially spoiled by Ultreo.

Customer Review: BEST POWER TOOTHBRUSH on the market. PERIOD!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I used Oral-B Vitality, Philips Sonicare FlexCare and finally Ultreo; and BELIEVE me this is undoubtedly the best solution out there. The brush does not physically wear and tear your enamel. It cleans almost 100% of plaque. Over two weeks of use, all my stains were gone and my mouth felt fresh as just after a dentist cleaning.
Ultreo: I read concerns about the big plastic head inside the brush head, in an Amazon.com review. I was very concerned in the beginning. The 1-877-4-ULTREO help desk clarified that this is the ultra-sound frequency generator that provides the cleaning action. The jutting plastic head contained in between the bristles is the heart of this equipment. The bristles do not provide scrubbing action, rather they only contain the fluid (paste and saliva) so the plastic head can bombard the plaque with the fluid mixture. The cleaning action from this technology does not cause any physical wear on the enamel and consequently, there is no reason for use of this product to cause any sensitivity over the long run. I would describe this as the invention of the decade and has the potential to literally kill your dentist's business.
Oral-B Vitality: After 2 years of continued usage, I realized that this product started to cause continued sensitivity in my teeth. This brush pushes all the plaque and tartar under the gum. The reach is very bad, impacting all molar teeth especially in the lower jaw. Overall, I would rate this product as a 1 out of possible 5. For price sensitive customer's, I would give it a 3 out of possible 5 rating. It does the job but YOU pay in the long term.
Philips Sonicare: The sonic action in the bristles is just a non-performer. The brush head is too small and ineffective. This brush also pushes the plaque and tartar under the gum. This brush doesn't help you get rid of any stains, even though the manufacturer claims this.
