I picked this up at the drug store a few weeks ago. The brush is made of boar hair with a plastic handle. The bowl is glazed ceramic with no handle. The soap is just soap.
The Brush
Aside from the cheap plastic handle, it is really no better or worse than any other inexpensive boar hair brush. This is the best part of the set. If you really want this brush, just buy it on its own.
The Bowl
Just a bowl. Too big to fit in my medicine cabinet and close the door completely. No handle. Just use a coffee mug or invest in a better shave mug/bowl. Not worth buying the set for.
The Soap
You're better off shaving with a bar of Ivory. Doesn't have a very nice scent. Dries out my skin. Doesn't lubricate very well which causes nicks when combined with my safety razor and would probably massacre your face when used with a straight razor. Makes a very thin later that absorbs/evaporates quickly. Spend the $4 on Colonel Conk instead.
In Summary
Why bother? The word Premium does not belong attached to this set. For about the same price, you can get a better boar hair brush and a much better soap. Throw the soap in an old coffee mug and you're good to go or spend a little extra on a nice shave mug/bowl.

The hairs on the brush keep falling off every time I use it. I replaced my old brush with this because the hairs kept falling off, however this brush is even worse. Also the hairs are very thick and coarse and spread outwards. I'm not very satisfied with this purchase.Customer Review: You get what you pay for
