Everything accomplishes it's purpose. Nothing of terrible quality- the products were packed well and not damaged when they arrived at my house. The bowl is some sort of ceramic I think, and is of pretty decent quality- no chips, paint probably won't last forever, but overall pretty decent. The brush is very lightweight. The handle is plastic, and the bristles do come loose a little with use, but nothing terrible. The soap works well, and it smells nice- nothing too soapy, just a clean fragrance. I would give it five stars if the brush was badger hair, but I've only used boar bristle brushes, and they work fine for me.Customer Review: Good Value

I purchased this product from Wal-Mart a year ago for about eight bucks. If you're new to wet shaving and not sure how this product will work, trust me, it holds its own with the big boys. This soap and brush will give you really great lather. There are more expensive products out there that may offer a bit smoother shave, but mostly you're paying for the luxury of how those products feel on the face. If you have any doubt at all, don't. You CAN get great shave with this product despite the low price.
Minus one star for the bowl getting slick when you're lathering. It'd be nice if it had a handle.

I'm not really a snob when it comes to my shaving stuff. I happen to like the bowl and it has a great feel to it. I like the soap as well as it "suds-up" fine and doesn't have a scent that is too strong. The brush feels fine, though it does seem to lose a couple of bristles every use. I have not purchased a nice badger hair brush, but that will be my next thing to buy once this one no longer works to my satisfaction. The brush is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, but even then the brush still works and feels fine.Customer Review: Fantastic Starter Set

I received this as a Christmas gift, and I've really enjoyed using it ever since. It's the most bang for the buck when you want to test the waters of using soap and a safety razor. For the price, you can't go wrong with this set.
One recommendation would be to not use the razor blade included, take the time and go to the nearest drug store or order a different set of blades from Amazon. I found this blade to be less than sharp.
Overall, I recommend this item!

Nice cerimic Bowl, nice bristle brush, and Great smelling Shaving Cream. I bought it because im fed up wasting half of my shaving lotion. With this no waste, and not much mess.
During the second use, at least 10 bristles fell out of the brush, at this rate, I will have to buy a new brush in about 2 months. If I had paid more for this set, I ould only give it 3 stars, but for the price it is a good deal.
Supper Savor Shipping was a few days fast.
