Just so you know, the vaseline is scented. It's a pleasant enough smell, but now it's not 100% pure petroleum jelly.

It worked well for us, till we started putting it outside the diaper area (my daughter has eczema and pediatrician insisted on vaseline instead of moisturizer). The baby started scratching her eyes intensely. When we switched to a regular, fragrance-free vaseline, she stopped reaching for the eyes.
I would not recommend this product for a baby with sensitive skin.
