Customer Review: Terrible design breaks wire inside

Like the title says. I used this lighter maybe 5 times. Kept it in a foam case in the closet, and went to use it one day BROKEN. I was dismayed of course since I was told Vector is the BEST by the sales clerk. When I read online that I would be charged a $15 return shipping fee if I used their 5 year warrantee offer, I decided to take matters into my own hands. The gas was flowing, but the spark wasn't there. Turns out that this collapsable style lighter puts pressure on the wires packed into the tiny space of the lighter itself. So much that it broke off. My boyfriend re-soldered it, and then the hose for the gas wouldn't go back on.
Needless to say, I just junked it. $17 from the store, and I won't get another. You certainly won't go to those ends to fix it anyhow. Just keep away from its terrible self-destructive design. Worthless if it didn't work, but when it did, it was quite nice.
