The instructions say that you are supposed to "test a small area and wait 24 hours before using product to ensure you have no adverse skin reaction. Do not use on irritated, sunburned, inflamed or broken skin." If you head this warning I think your experience with this product will be a pleasant one. You do not have to wait 24 hours to take a shower. I recommend applying the mouse about 7 minutes before you get in the shower and then rinse off with the sponge in the shower. You are supposed to wait between 8 and 10 minutes. If you experience burning before that you should remove it from the skin immediately. Keep checking small patches to see if it is working, but don't be surprised if nothing happens after 5 minutes. I found that the mouse was thick enough where it stuck to my skin and did not make much of a mess. I like this product and have not experienced burns from it. I wanted to write this review for perspective buyers just to let them know that it is VERY important to read and follow the directions on this product, and that if you do the results are worthwhile.

Read precautions before use. Remove the soft sponge from inside the top of the domed cap for use. Use in the bath or in the shower. Shake the can well. For underarms, spray onto the fingers and completely cover the hair in an even layer. Wash your hands immediately after application. For other areas, hold the can 4 inches/10 centimeters away, spray evenly over the skin, with the can either upright or upside down. Leave the mousse on the skin for 8 minutes, times with a watch, then gently use the sponge to test a small area. If hair comes away easily, remove hair and the rest of the mousse by massaging with the sponge in a curricular motion, under the shower or running water. Once all hair is removed, dry with a towel. If hair doesn't come away, leave the mousse on a bit longer without exceeding 10 minutes of total application time. After use, rinse nozzle and sponge thoroughly.
